OS-3: Local Norms Reporting Service

DESCRIPTION

For each grade, OS-3 provides the calculation of Local Percentile Ranks (LPR) for all eligible students in the system, in that grade.

CTBS: OS-3 report is based on Standard Scores.

CCAT: OS-3 report is based on Standard Age Scores.

GMRT: OS-3 report is based on the Grade Equivalent scores.

--> OS-3 is not intended for use with small systems. For each grade in the system, each subtest, test total, and composite requires a minimum of 25 eligible students for the local norms calculations, otherwise the corresponding Local Percentile Ranks are reported as "n/a".

Local Percentile Ranks are only available for subtests, test totals, and composites that have a sufficient number of eligible students.

Note about "eligible" students: If either of the following are ordered:
  • OS-22 - Exclude Class(es) from Building/System Averages
  • OS-29 - Exclude Student(s) from Class, Building, System Averages
some classes and/or students may be excluded from the calculation of local norms.

For grades with at least 25 students, OS-3 includes the reporting of the students' Local Percentile Ranks and Stanines on the Student List Report and on the following, when ordered:

  • OS-1 - Student Labels
  • OS-6 - Individual Item Analysis
  • OS-7 - Skill Summary by Student
  • OS-8 - Student Performance Chart
  • OS-10 - Extra Set of Student List Report
  • OS-11 - Extra Set of Student Labels
  • OS-27 - Students' Scores and Percentile Chart
  • OS-28 - Student Performance Chart - Parent Copy
  • OS-31 - High Edit or Low Edit Report
  • OS-33 - Students' Scores on Disk
  • OS-35 - Combined CTBS/CCAT Report
  • OS-36 - Students' Scores and Responses on Disk

VARIATIONS

If you wish to report only the LPR scores and not the LS scores (or vice versa), refer to OS-30 for suppression of one of the scores.

When OS-3 is ordered, class averages for the LPR and LS scores can also be requested for the Student List Report - refer to OS-30 for selection of LPR and/or LS for class averages. (The LPR and LS class averages are not provided automatically with OS-3.)

If you wish to report class averages for the LPR and LS scores, we recommend that your order have at least 75 eligible students in each grade.
