OS-7: Skill Summary By Student
DESCRIPTION
Available for CTBS only, not
for CCAT or GMRT.
This report produces one page per student, and it includes a re-statement
of the top three lines of the student's scores from the Student List Report.
A sample page is available.
In the body of the report, for each subtest, the skill areas are listed
with these results:
- the number of items in the skill
- the Student's Percent Correct for the skill
- the National Percent Correct for the skill (for the semester
of your order: Fall, Midyear, Spring)
- a graphic representation of the student's performance, relative
to the National Percent Correct, indicating "low", "average", or "high"
Skills that are measured by fewer than three items are not included in
this report.
Note: "Usage" and "Expression" are reported as two separate subtests.
Each OS-7 page also provides a chart showing the student's
National
Percentile Rank (NPR) performance. As an example, for CTBS Form K
Levels 9-14, the chart shows:
- each of the 12 subtests
- three 3 test totals (LT, MT, ST)
- the composite
Each skill's graph consists of an "X" symbol and one or two "wings" represented
by horizontal lines. The length of the wings gives a general indication
of the range that includes the student's performance, and the width of
the range depends on the number of items in the skill (narrow ranges appear
for skills that have higher numbers of items).
When comparing two graphs for the same student, if the wings of the two
graphs do not overlap then this may be considered to be a significant
difference in the student's performance between the two areas.
If the student is tested out-of-level (see
OS-23),
the National Percent Correct values are not available and the nearest
on-level tables for National Percent Correct will be used for the skill
graphs in OS-7. For example: a student's results for testing
with level 10 of CTBS in the Fall of Grade 6 (out-of-level) would be graphed
on the basis of the National Percents Correct in the Spring of Grade 4.
If the student is tested more than two grades out-of-level (see
OS-23),
the graphic representation of the student's performance is not available
and is not printed. For example: a student's results for testing
with level 10 of CTBS in Grade 7 (three grades out-of-level) would not
present graphs for any of the skills.
Within each class, the students are listed in the same sequence as the
sheets were arranged when you submitted your order for scoring. See
OS-25
(Sort Each Class by Student Name).
