OS-24: Male and Female Averages

DESCRIPTION

This service provides building and system averages for each gender, as bubbled onto their answer document.

In contrast to the Building and System Averages that are part of the Basic Service (and which present the averages by grade within each building), the averages in OS-24 are sorted by grade within the system.

For example: Within each grade, the averages for building 1 are followed by the averages for buildings 2, 3, etc. and the system averages.

This sequence facilitates the comparison of average performance by gender across buildings within a grade.

If the student's gender circle is not filled in on the answer sheet, the student does not contribute to the Male and Female Averages.

Note about "eligible students": If OS-22 and/or OS-29 are ordered, some classes and/or students may be excluded from the Male and Female Averages.

VARIATIONS

To suppress scores or to select additional scores for buildings and the system, refer to OS-40.

Note: OS-24 does not support these OS-40 scores:

  • Number Attempted
  • Percent Attempted
  • Raw Score
  • Chance-Score Indicator
  • Percent Correct

RELATED SERVICES

When OS-24 and OS-32 (Group Narrative Report) are both ordered, then OS-32 is upgraded to provide a report called "OS-32/24" for each of:

  1. All Genders (including the "blank" gender)
  2. Female Students
  3. Male Students
for each grade in each building, and for each grade in the system.
