SUMMARY
Designed for use by university trainers of testing and assessment,
this package contains all the information an instructor needs
to become familiar with the Universal
Nonverbal Intelligence Test (UNIT). The University
Training CD-ROM works for Windows and Macintosh and will aid
instructors teaching the UNIT to their students because
it contains the following features:
- Presentation materials for teaching the UNIT
- Complete UNIT Training Video
- Sections from the UNIT Examiner's Manual
- Comparative features with major nonverbal measures of intelligence
- Key references for nonverbal assessment
- Other professional resources of interest
The
UNIT presentation materials are also provided in PowerPoint
format. Instructors can edit and customize these presentation materials.
The Training Video includes the authors of the
UNIT presenting
its underlying theoretical bases and answering questions concerning
its development, administration, and interpretation. The eight simple
gestures used to administer the
UNIT are demonstrated, and
administration of each subtest is shown.
As the instructor uses this Training CD-ROM to teach the
UNIT,
assessment students can follow along with the University Training
Guide. The Training Guide contains background on the history and
development of the
UNIT and includes a practice record form
and case studies for students to complete.
Training Guides can be purchased separately by students, or by the
professional who wants to learn to administer and interpret the
UNIT.
