WJ III Training Packages

WJ III Examiner Training Workbooks

The Examiner Training Workbook (also included with each WJ III Cognitive Kit, and with each WJ III Achievement Form B Kit) can be purchased in packages of five for professionals conducting training workshops and/or needing extra copies. The workbook is filled with step-by-step examples showing how to establish basals and ceilings, score items, calculate raw scores, and obtain estimated age and grade equivalents. Other examples show how to read the Score Report generated by the WJ III scoring software. Practice exercises give examiners an opportunity to test their abilities, and two reproducible checklists can be used as self-study or observation tools.  [PS: there is no Examiner Training Workbook for the WJ III Achievement Form C Kit.]

WJ III University Training Package

The WJ III University Training Package has been designed to help university professors and training professionals teach others how to use the new Woodcock-Johnson III. The WJ III Training CD-ROM can be used with either Windows or Macintosh operating systems and contains video clips of administration and scoring procedures as well as pre- and post-tests to help examiners learning the WJ III target their strengths and weaknesses. This university edition of the CD-ROM also includes presentation materials, such as slides and handouts, in PowerPoint format that instructors and trainers can edit and customize when necessary.

In addition, the package contains another copy of the Achievement Form B and Cognitive Examiner Training Workbooks (included with each related WJ III Kit). WJ III Training Video Packages

The WJ III Training Video Packages have been developed in a VHS format. Each Training Video primarily contains information on test administration and scoring of either the Tests of Achievement Form B or the Tests of Cognitive Abilities. It features actual test administration clips and includes general administration rules, scoring procedures, and interpretive options, such as age/grade profiles. It also features the WJ III authors discussing important aspects of the test

A copy of the Examiner Training Workbook for the appropriate battery accompanies each video.

The WJ III Achievement Form C kit contains tests that are very similar to the WJ III Achievement Form B kit -- as a result, the WJ III Training Video for Achievement Form B is also valuable for use with Form C.

WJ III Self-Study Training Package

The WJ III Self-Study Training Package is similar to the WJ III University Training Package, but it has been designed to help individuals learn how to administer and use the new Woodcock-Johnson III on their own. The CD-ROM contains video clips of test administration and scoring procedures as well as pre- and post-tests to help examiners learning the WJ III target their strengths and weaknesses; however, no presentation materials are included.
